Current Event

Google is launching another company called Waymo to focus on self-driving cars. These self-driving vehicles have driven a billion miles in simulation an a million on public roads. The cars will still have a steering will and pedals due to regulations. Many people will buy self-driving cars if they are available in the future. A blind man got a ride in one in October 2015, so they would be great for blind people or people unable to drive. They would not say when the general public could ride in one of these vehicles, but it could be soon.

Thanksgiving Campaign

Nike "Turkey Bowl"- Nike used a mobile app to advertise its Hyperwarm line. When the customers used apps, they were rewarded points which could be redeemed for prizes like gift cards.
This is brilliant because people are usually annoyed at pop up ads, but they are being rewarded for their time. This is good for Nike because customers will be more encouraged to buy things from their stores.

Survey Conclusion

My survey received 10 responses. The majority of people agreed with what my survey is about. It would be more effective if it had questions that would involve students that don't drive to school and have to worry about parking, and the results would be more accurate. 9 out of 10 people think that there should be more parking allowed and don't like the idea of parking passes. There was an equal split of male and female. There were 5 seniors, 2 juniors, and 3 sophomores that participated in this survey.

Marketing- Real

3 actionable things I can do to make people aware of things at RMHS is that I can put up signs for whatever I am trying to promote. I can also get them on the announcements and tell everybody at lunch. My goal is to make people aware of everything at RMHS and have them try to make change by promoting it.

Fads

A recent fad is Pokemon Go. The target market for this app were people that grew up watching Pokemon. It's appealing to them because it is nostalgic to the and is bringing back something from their childhood that has faded since then. It faded because people were getting injured or killed playing this game by not paying attention to their surroundings, only their phone. They would meet up with people and be robbed. It was a dangerous game to play because it involved meeting up with strangers. It was really popular for a couple weeks and then faded.

Color Rush Uniforms

The NFL Color Rush Uniforms are uniforms that NFL teams wear on Thursday night games. They are much different than the original uniforms, the pants and jersey are the same color and the uniform is sometimes not the team's main color. In most cases, there is no team wearing white during a game, which is very different because the road team usually always wears white.
The 5 I like the most are 49ers, Buccaneers, Cardinals, Patriots, and Saints.
I don't like the color rush uniforms because most of them don't look good. Some of them look like the same uniform but different colored pants. It is good if you want to start selling something new because people will buy them. I think that they should wear throwback uniforms on Thursday night because they would appeal to a larger audience. Older people who watched the team while the throwbacks were their main uniform would buy them. Younger people probably would, too, because most of those uniforms look good and they might think it would be cool to have one.
